About me:

Hi my name is James.

          I am 56 years old and enjoy woodworking but am new to woodturning. I also enjoy running, walking, fishing and gardening, working outside in the yard.
          My wife, Helen, told me to find a good hobby before I retire or I am going to drive her crazy. She enjoys making quilts and doing needlework and is also a judge for these crafts at the Colorado State Fair.
          My woodturning goals would be by December to be able to make Christmas gifts for family members. I feel that something that is handmade holds a special meaning as a gift.
